Polly Lyster's workshop is a huge feast for the eye - there are rows upon rows of linen sheets in a delicious array of colours.
It brings out all the satisfaction we had as children organising our Caran D'Ache pencils into colour patterns.
Her range extends to 150 colours but our favourites are the indigos, magentas, taupes and soft greens.
We have used the sheets as table cloths but a many interior designs use her fabrics for upholstery to cover anything from chairs to bedheards.
There is also a specialist colour matching service.

Polly Lyster is one of those hallowed names in the world of soft furnishings because of her exquisite palate range of natural hand-dyed linens
She uses natural pigments on antique fabrics - very often big French sheets which people will either use as dining room table cloths or to upholster furniture
Her colour palette began with Indigo, the only natural blue. She then developed a range of 150 colours. There is not one colour that is a single dye, except indigo. All are mixed and layered onto the fabrics with subsequent dips in vats of dye, sometimes up to twelve dips are needed to arrive at the desired shade
Polly works with designers designers and decorators, as well as private clients, to create colours that are harmonious with both antique and modern interiors
She also has a special colour matching service. Please contact us if you require that
